Stillness in the Mind
Flow in the Body
Ivy is a qualified Acupuncturist
and Chinese Medicine Practitioner located in Melbourne. She is passionate about promoting the health and wellbeing of people from all walks of life.
Ivy’s work is inspired by the observation of the
human condition and the evolution of people over time. The history of the “self” and what it is to be human are guiding inquiries underpinning her work. Through years of clinical experience, Ivy has developed a practice and perspective on health that promotes the natural interplay of body and mind,
Her therapeutic approach therefore emphasises stilling or slowing the conceptual mind, to give rise to the intelligent flow inherent in the body and in all living things.
Ivy reintroduces simplicity, and encourages individuals to declutter - both in mind and body. She views the abundance of the natural world as an important regulator for the body, and an anchor to knowledge and wisdom. She values the sacred connection between humans and the environment and acknowledges this partnership as the basis of health.
Ivy encourages individuals to open up their perspective on what “living well” means. She proposes that the journey of well-being may in fact be a journey of depth and meaning. One that is absent of grasping for states of physical or emotional perfection or an obsession to constantly need to fix. Instead, we might consider “well-being” as state of being where the continuous flow of mind and body becomes an inspired dance that is interconnected to the world around us. One that guides the human self through all stages of life, from birth to death.
“The body is called the field; the one who watches whatever happens within it - the wise call the Knower.”
- Bhagavad Gita -

The Joshua Tree California USA
“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ivy offers a form of Chinese Medicine embedding traditional knowledge into everyday living. Daily lifestyle practices and awareness of the body are encouraged as an active and ongoing part of the health journey. Through consultation, acupuncture, acupressure and other body techniques, the therapy is directed towards slowing down the mind-body process, and identifying physical and mental patterns that prevent well-being and lead to disease. These techniques assist the body to manage physical or emotional discomfort, while simultaneously settling the mind. As a result, the overall coherence in signalling processes and regeneration of the body as a whole may be promoted.
